Favourite Beach:
I have many favourite beaches- it’s hard to choose. Being in the sea is my favourite place in the world. I love crystal clear turquoise water and quiet clean unspoilt beaches whether in Cornwall, Italy or the Greek Islands. However I think my most favourite beach ever has to be Turtle Bay in North Oahu, Hawaii, because it was such a joy and honour to be able to walk and swim amongst the huge turtles that live there, in this wonderful unspoilt and protected environment.
I am passionate about working with Think Ocean as it breaks my heart seeing the damage humans are doing to the environment and the AMAZING wildlife who live in the water. Turtles being harmed by ghost nets for example makes me feel sick. Respect is a massive issue. This year alone I’ve seen hundreds of plastic bottles carelessly cast into the sea in Majorca for example, whilst also witnessing a more positive use of empty plastic bottles by fishermen in Malta, who join them safely together and use them as giant floats. We need to THINK. Small changes can make such a huge difference if we all take them on board.
