In the wake of recent floods, the urgent need to tackle the impact of adverse weather and plastic pollution has never been clearer. In response, we're uniting with the University of Derby, Derby College, Impactoverse and local businesses for a major clean-up effort along the River Derwent and its banks.
We have more than just the clean-up on the agenda! We're rolling out an array of post-clean-up activities to celebrate your support and highlight the importance of environmental conservation. Among these are an upcycling workshop led by the renowned Max McMurdo, from Channel 4’s “Amazing Spaces” and “Tool Club, a performance by X-Factor's All-Singing-All-Dancing Star, and former member of Only Boys Aloud, Russell Jones, and a meet and greet with Team GB Olympic athlete, William Sharman. We’ll also be filming for our cinema promo and will have press in attendance.
This is more than an event; it's a movement. Let's ignite a spark for impact that travels beyond Derby, demonstrating the undeniable strength of community in protecting our planet.
