Dissatisfied with the constraints imposed by external foundries, in recent years he has converted a simple workshop in Yorkshire into a thriving nine-room studio and foundry, revolutionising his process to prioritise sustainability and environmental consciousness.

Mastering every step of the intricate sculpting process is his mission, from delicate mold-making to the intricate art of chasing the bronze and crafting exquisite patinas. Breaking tradition, Steve has delved into the secrets of the trade, fusing engineering precision with artistic finesse, and etching his signature onto every masterpiece he creates. Notably, his craftsmanship in silver and gold has earned him the privilege of being granted his own British Hallmark.

A dedicated conservationist, Steve has journeyed worldwide, partnering with renowned environmentalists. His creative pursuits have transcended geographical boundaries, taking him from the vibrant streets of India to the rugged terrains of Africa, each journey leaving an indelible mark on his art. His sculptures have graced prestigious galleries and auction houses, including the renowned Royal Academy in London, Christies and Sotheby’s, Monaco Fine Arts in Monte Carlo, as well as the illustrious halls of Buckingham Palace.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Steve has undertaken monumental projects, including a bust of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the grand Welsh Dragon Project, an ambitious venture poised to rival the iconic Angel of the North. His sculptures now dot prominent landmarks like Wembley Stadium, Wigan town centre, and Doncaster, each piece embodying the essence of strength and resilience.

Steve’s dedication to our planet and its wildlife spans decades. Across various continents, he has spearheaded multiple ocean-focused and other conservation projects. Behind the scenes, he has nurtured and released rescue sea turtles with Sir David Attenborough. Fondly reminiscing about the Kenyan coastline, specifically the beaches of Watamu and Malindi, Steve’s marine work is inspired by his time spent diving and working with turtles in East Africa.
